伦斯勒理工学院 County residents and 哈德逊山谷社区学院 students looking for additional career guidance and connections will have a new resource on campus starting this fall.
伦斯勒县就业中心, which helps individuals prepare for and find careers in every sector of the economy, has opened a new satellite 员工发展 职业生涯 Center in the college’s Siek Campus Center.

“Locating the new 员工发展 职业生涯 Center on campus makes sense for so many reasons, and it highlights the great working relationship we continue to foster with the county career centers,” said Hudson Valley President Roger Ramsammy. “Our primary focus is to help members of the community and our students find and train for new careers, and this new office will complement the work being done at our Center for 职业生涯s and Transfer while offering additional services to job seekers.”

Staffed by professionals from the 伦斯勒理工学院 County Department of 就业 and Training, the affiliate 职业生涯 Center will provide job seekers with customized career planning, 恢复援助, career search workshops and tuition assistance for short-term training through the federal Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act. Locating this new career center directly on the Hudson Valley campus will benefit job seekers who can immediately take advantage of additional resources on campus, including many short-term and long-term career training opportunities.
Staff from the new 伦斯勒理工学院 County 员工发展 职业生涯 Center will work in partnership with the college’s Center for 职业生涯 and Transfer in providing services that complement and expand the connection between education and workforce placement and development activities in the region. Local and regional businesses also will have the opportunity to use the center for recruiting and development of current and future employees.
According to the 2022 Capital Region Annual Report and 员工发展 Report, the Capital Region is experiencing a two-sided predicament – employers in a variety of sectors are anxious to find new talent, and yet there remains a scarcity of trained workers to fill many positions. 首都地区收复了8个以上,2021年将创造1000个就业岗位, but four times that amount is needed to return to pre-pandemic employment levels. 该地区的医疗保健, the skilled trades and technology sectors are particularly hard hit, and their continued growth depends on a concerted effort between business, workforce development entities and education.
